Chiropractic Program

Harvest Christian University Royal School is excited to introduce its new 2-year chiropractic program that prepares students for a career in chiropractic care. The program is accredited by the Kingdom of Hawaii Royal Accreditation Commission (KOHRAC) and is designed to provide students with the knowledge and skills needed to become professional chiropractors. Here is an outline of the program:

Courses:

  • The program includes courses in anatomy, physiology, chiropractic techniques, radiology, nutrition, and patient care.

  • Students will learn to use state-of-the-art equipment for chiropractic care, including diagnostic imaging and chiropractic adjusting tables.

  • The program will provide students with hands-on experience through clinical rotations and internships.

 

Training:

 

  • The program will require a total of 60 credits.

  • The credits will be earned through a combination of coursework and clinical experience.

  • The program will prepare students for the National Board of Chiropractic Examiners (NBCE) exams.

 

Guidelines:

  • The program is open to students who have a high school diploma or equivalent.

  • Students can choose to complete the program in 1-2 years depending on their needs to accelerate.

  • Students are expected to spend a minimum of 15 hours of study per week.

  • Students must have completed at least 30 semester hours of college-level coursework, including courses in general chemistry, organic chemistry, biology, and physics.

  • Students must have a minimum cumulative GPA of 2.5 on a 4.0 scale.

  • Students must submit official transcripts from all colleges and universities attended.

  • Students must submit official scores from the Test of English as a Foreign Language (TOEFL) if English is not their first language.

 

Curriculum:

  • The curriculum is designed to provide students with a strong foundation in chiropractic care and prepare them for exams.

  • Students will learn about the philosophy and principles of chiropractic care, as well as the techniques and tools used in chiropractic practice.

  • The program will provide students with hands-on experience through clinical rotations and internships.

 

Course Hours:

  • A semester credit is defined as: 15 hours of classroom theory study, with up to 30 hours outside preparation, or 30 hours of classroom practical study/lab, or 45 hours of internship.

  • Course hours are: 9:30 a.m. to 6:00 p.m., Monday through Friday.

  • Full-time students are expected to spend a minimum of one semester credit hour of study per week.

  • Half-time students are expected to spend 0.5 semester credit hours of study per week.

  • Part-time students are expected to spend a minimum of 0.25 semester credit hours of study per week.
